Champions Hockey League: Eisbären Berlin vs SaiPa Lappeenranta live at the Mercedes-Benz Arena Berlin
The Eisbären Berlin will again participate in the Champions Hockey League in the upcoming season 2016/2017. The CHL is the highest European hockey competition.
The Eisbären Berlin will play against the Scandinavian teams Luleå HF from Sweden and SaiPa Lappeenranta from Finland in the first round. Both games will be the first official matches of the new season 2016/2017.
Saimaan Pallo is the ice hocky club from Lappeenranta in Finland. The club was founded in 1948 and has produced seven players who have played in the NHL. The Eisbären Berlin will play against SaiPa Lappeenranta for the first time. The match will take place on Sunday, 21 August 2016 at the Uber Arena and the return match on Saturday, 10 September 2016 in Lappeenranta, Finland.
