What are the age restrictions for events at the Mercedes-Benz Arena?

Children and adolescents under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over who is a Custodial Person or has been named a Person with Parental Power. The accompanying person must have a valid ticket for the event. Children under 6 years only have access to the arena if they are accompanied by an adult at any time.

I heard that artist XY is playing at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, but I can’t find anything on the website.

If an event is not listed in our event calendar, it has not been confirmed. 

Can you organize a Meet & Greet?

No. Meet & Greets are only available at selected events and are organized by the promoter. Usually, Meet & Greets will be sold or given away in competitions prior to the show. 

Can I bring a present or a letter for an artist performing at the Mercedes-Benz Arena?

Yes, usually you can hand your letter or present to the staff at the entrance. We will arrange for it to be taken to the artist management. 

Who is the support act for a certain show?

It is not always known whether there will be a support act for a concert or show. We recommend checking the event page on our website prior to the show or visiting our Facebook page. You can also contact our ticketing team (phone: +49 (0) 30 / 20 60 70 88 99). 

FAQ - Your Visit

Can I take a bag / a backpack / an umbrella into the Mercedes-Benz Arena?

We take the safety and security of all of our guests, artists and staff very seriously. Starting on 1st September 2017, visitors will no longer be allowed to bring bags or backpacks into the Mercedes-Benz Arena Berlin.

Guests are permitted to take one small bag/handbag with them which does not exceed the size of “DIN A4” (21.0 x 29.7cm). 

Depending on the event, the respective promoter of the show may determine even stricter rules. We recommend checking the respective event page beforehand or look for updates on our Facebook page

Umbrellas may not be brought along into the seats or standing room spaces and must be handed over to the entrance staff to be locked away in the closet area.

Is bag storage available at the Mercedes-Benz Arena?

There is limited storage capacity for bags that exceed the allowed size limit, at a cost of 6 EUR (For season ticket holders Eisbären Berlin & ALBA BERLIN home games: 4 EUR) per bag. The fee is charged to cover the costs for this service only. Any potential surplus will be donated to the charity organization "Anschutz hilft e.V.".

If you have to bring a large bag with you, may we also recommend using the storage facilities at Ostbahnhof station, which is located only short walk from the arena.

What time do the doors open for events at the Mercedes-Benz Arena?

Usually, doors open two hours before the show starts, however there may be deviations for certain events. Please check your ticket or our website. For regular season games of the Eisbären Berlin, doors open 1.5 hours before the game. For games of ALBA BERLIN, doors usually open one hour prior to tip-off. Please note that entry will only be granted with a valid ticket, which loses its validity when leaving the arena. 

When should I arrive for an event at the Mercedes-Benz Arena? What if I’m late?

We recommend arriving early. Event timings can always change, even on the day of the event. Give yourself plenty of time to get to the Mercedes-Benz Arena, find a parking spot, reach your seat, etc. For some events, you can’t enter until a suitable break in the performance.  

Can I bring my own food and drinks into the venue?

Guests may not bring any food and/or beverage items into the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Exceptions are made for customers with specific dietary needs due to medical conditions. The presentation of a medical certificate or an appropriate ID is required. Nourishments for infants and young children are allowed as well.

Can I bring a camera / video camera?

The decision concerning photo and video cameras is made by the promoter of the event. Usually, camera phones as well as small, compact digital cameras are okay to bring and use. Video cameras as well as SLR cameras, bridge cameras and cameras that look similar to SLR cameras are generally not allowed in. If in doubt, don’t bring it along. There may also be a total ban on cameras depending on the event. If you are unsure about a certain event, please contact us via Facebook, Twitter

Can I bring my tablet / laptop / phone charger/ powerbanks?

Tablets, laptops / notebooks, tripods and so-called “selfie sticks” are not allowed at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Phone chargers are permitted depending on their size. 

Powerbanks are allowed - max. size 10x10 cm and only one powerbank per person. Please do not bring extra batteries.

Can I bring a poster / banner?

The acceptance of posters and banners depends on the event and promoter. For sports events, banners over 1.0m2 are not allowed in. For concerts and other entertainment events, posters bigger than DIN A3 are generally forbidden. Please don’t bring larger quantities of paper, wallpaper rolls, confetti, etc. either. What can I do if my or my child’s hearing is very sensitive and it’s too loud?

Free ear plugs are available at every event. Just ask our staff at the cloakrooms. You can also borrow ear defenders - please talk to our staff on site. You will have to leave a deposit in order to borrow them. 

What should I do if I have a problem during an event?

If something is wrong, please talk to our staff on site so we can help you. There are also paramedics available at every event if you have a medical issue.

Catering

Can I buy food and drinks in the arena?

The Mercedes-Benz Arena offers a wide variety of food and beverages. Check our Catering for information on our concessions and the World Dinner Restaurant.

Is there a cup deposit?

Visitors of Mercedes-Benz Arena will receive their drinks at events in reusable cups, which will be cleaned in an in-house dishwashing facility after use.

A deposit of EUR 3 per cup will be charged when drinks are handed out, which will be refunded when they are returned to the snack stands or separate return points. Alternatively, visitors can donate their cups to the eco-social sustainability project FAME FOREST - according to the motto: Donate cups, plant trees.

When purchasing drinks via the Mercedes Platz app, the cup deposit is added in the booking process. The deposit will be refunded in cash when the cups are returned to the concession stands.

FAQ - Tickets

Can I use the public transport with my ticket?

Usually, tickets are not valid for the use of public transport. In some cases, the ticket does include public transport in which case it will be noted on the ticket. If you are unsure, please call our ticket hotline +49 (0) 30 / 20 60 70 88 99 for further information.

How can I get a refund for tickets of cancelled or rescheduled shows?

In general, refunds are offered by the ticket agency where you purchased the ticket.

Do I need a separate ticket for my baby / infant?

Every visitor needs a valid ticket to attend an event, independent of their age. For Eisbären Berlin home games, children between 0-6 years can receive an additional ticket for free (maximum of 1 additional ticket per adult). How can I tell if a ticket or ticket seller is legitimate?

If you have purchased your ticket from an official website, such as www.mercedes-benz-arena-berlin.de, our ticket hotline or our premium shop, there is no need to worry about the validity of your ticket. If you buy tickets from unofficial agents or websites, they could be fake, stolen or invalid, and you will not be able to get into the arena with one of those tickets. Never buy tickets from anyone outside the venue and never pay more than the face value of the seat. If in doubt, please call our ticketing team. 

The event I want to attend is sold out. What can I do?

  1. Please check if the event is really sold out through our event calendar on our website. If you can see the „Buy Tickets“ or „Premium Tickets“ button, there are still tickets available.
  2. Sign up for the event by clicking on the “Event Alert” button. If more tickets for a show are released, we will send you an email.
  3. Contact our ticketing team. Sometimes, there are still tickets available at face value for a show that is “sold out” and which cannot be booked online. Call our ticket hotline +49 (0)30 / 20 60 70 88 99 or our Premium Tickethotline +49 (0)30 / 20 60 70 88 44.

About the Arena

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, we do offer free Wi-Fi for all visitors. To log in, simply choose the SSID "Free Wi-Fi MB Arena" and register with your email adress.  

Where can I buy merchandise?

There is a merchandise shop on the left side of the main entrance, where you can by merchandise products of the Eisbären Berlin, ALBA BERLIN and Füchse Berlin. 
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and Sundays from 12 pm to 2 pm. For concerts an other shows, there are several merchandise booths inside the Mercedes-Benz Arena and sometimes even outside of the arena. 

Is there a cloakroom where I can leave my belongings?

Yes, there are several cloakrooms in the Mercedes-Benz Arena where you can leave your belongings. The fee is usually 3 EUR and under certain circumstances 4 EUR.

Is there a lost-property office?

Lost and Found objects are collected in the Arena Control Department that can be contacted via the following number: +49 (0)30-20 60 70 85 00.

Are the toilets located close to my seat?

Yes. You can reach the toilets quickly from any seat or area in the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Which seats are the best?

The best way to get a first impression of your view is by choosing a seat via the seating chart booking on our website. Our ticketing team will also be happy to assist you: +49 (0)30 / 20 60 70 88 99.

Do you accept debit cards or credit cards at the Mercedes-Benz Arena? Is there an ATM / cash machine inside the venue?

Starting January 1st, 2024, all payment terminals at Mercedes-Benz Arena will be converted to cashless payment. At all events, food and drink orders can only be paid for by card at the concession stands, at mobile stations and in the Premium area (including suites and World Dinner Restaurant). Only cashless payments will also be accepted at the cloakrooms and merchandise stands.

Accepted payment methods from January 1, 2024 are debit card, AMEX, Mastercard, VISA, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

On event nights the box office is operated by the promoter who, under certain circumstances, may accept cash only.

Can I take a guided tour around the Mercedes-Benz Arena?

We do offer guided tours around the Mercedes-Benz Arena. However, we currently only offer them for groups. Please send an email to tour@mercedes-benz-arena-berlin.de for more information.

What happens to the rink ot the Eisbären Berlin when a concert takes place?

During other events the ice is covered with paving tiles which are 7 centimeters thick. The tiles' function is to prevent cold feet.
