Rod Stewart live at the Mercedes-Benz Arena Berlin
Doors: 5.30pm
British music legend Rod Stewart is to return to the Uber Arena in Berlin for one show on 31 May 2016. Tickets for his "The Hits" Tour are on sale.
Born as Roderick David Stewart in London, the musician first planned his career in a different direction. He trained hard to become a professional football player, but after some time playing for Brentford F.C., he changed his mind and followed his interest in British folk music. Over the years, his folk music developed into soul and later he felt at home in the rock/pop genre. Besides his career as a solo artist, he was lead singer of the band Faces. His first solo album and the first record with the Faces “First Step” were released at the same time. Stewart’s third album “Every Picture Tells a Story” became a huge success, it was voted No. 171 in the Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In addition the album, the single “Maggie May”, made it to the top of the UK and USA charts at the same time. Up until today, Rod Stewart has received numerous awards, like the Grammy, the Brit, or the World Music Award.
On his 2016 tour, Stewart will be playing shows in the U.S. and all over Europe, including Berlin. On his “The Hits” tour he will be performing his all-time classics like “Sailing” or “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” as well as songs from his newest album “Another Country”.
